The choir’s members have chosen BRACE (Research into Alzheimer’s and all forms of dementia) as their charity for 2026.

The choir is always looking for new members so if you would like to try us out, please drop in to see us at the Community Rooms of St Teresa’s church, Filton, every Wednesday from 1.45 to 3.45 pm.

Henleaze Christmas Festival has made the biggest ever  donations to its sponsored charities after a highly successful event.

The three charities will each receive £1000. They are everyFAMILY, Vision Care for Homeless People and The Family Centre (Deaf Children).

“We are delighted to once again provide some much-needed support to local charities,” said Festival co-ordinator Jane Emery.

She added: “A fine evening helped boost attendance and there was a wonderful response to the prize draw.”

The Festival are also donating £400 each to the Air Cadets, who provide support on the night and Trinity-Henleaze URC , whose premises are a focal point for the evening’s entertainment.

The committee will shortly be deciding on this year`s charities to be supported. Plans are already under

way for the next festival on Wednesday December 2.  Anyone offering to help please contact Jane Emery at: janeemery1951@gmail.com
