Earlier this year Westbury on Trym Church of England Academy welcomed the Project Zulu choir back to school for another incredible school tour.
The young singers from Sipheni Senior Primary School and Sithobelumthetho Primary School in Madadeni Township, South Africa, spent a day in school and showcased their traditional Zulu song and dance.
Thanks to the generosity of Westbury on Trym’s school families the school raised an extraordinary £2,927.60! These much-needed funds will help both South African schools create long-term educational benefits through harnessing solar energy and equipping classrooms with the technology and resources needed to support the children’s learning.
The tour not only raised significant funds from the choir’s performances but also gave the children the opportunity to share cultural experiences and develop connection which is something that’s cherished at Westbury on Trym and hope will stay with them for a long time to come.
