Fun and games were once more the order of the day on September 12 as many came to enjoy the annual Party in the Park’s charity fundraiser which took place on the Golden Hill Sports playing fields.
Fortunately, the weather was warm and stayed dry right to the end which encouraged large numbers of people from the local community and beyond to turn up and enjoy something for all ages. Live music on the main stage, and a mix of demonstrations and dance groups entertained the crowds, along with rides, games and challenges for children and adults alike, while stalls selling a wide variety of goods as well as food and drink brought support for local businesses. The evening culminated in an impressive firework display to bring the event to a close.
The organisers would like to thank everyone who came along with family, friends and neighbours to support the event, the many volunteers who kept everything running from start to finish, all the local businesses that kindly donated raffle prizes and the main sponsors, CJ Hole, for their backing and considerable help on the day.
