Bristol Free School is celebrating superb A-level and Level 3 results.
There have been many individual achievements alongside an impressive cohort performance, with 34 per cent of all grades awarded at A* to A and 88% of all grades awarded at C or above.
Mathematics performed exceptionally well once again and was one of the standout subjects this year. There were also some remarkable successes, with Isaac G achieving the highest progress score of all students.
Susan King, who is leaving after eight years in charge, said: I am delighted with this year’s outstanding A-level results. As this is my final year as headteacher, I was hoping for a strong set of outcomes, and I have certainly not been disappointed.
“However, grades are not the most important aspect of today. We are equally proud of the exciting destinations our students are progressing to. These include gap year opportunities, prestigious university places, including Cambridge, and highly competitive courses such as Medicine and Veterinary Science, as well as a wide range of higher and degree apprenticeships across a fascinating variety of sectors.
“As a school, we are incredibly proud of this cohort, who have been exemplary role models and ambassadors for Bristol Free School over the past two years.
“We wish them every success and happiness as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.”
