TRINITY Academy celebrated a milestone as its first intake of students received their A-level results.
The moment marked the Academy’s coming of age as the school reached full maturity.
Both students and staff were delighted with the results which were an opportunity to celebrate the journey of students who signed up to the new school in 2019 or who joined the new Sixth Form in 2024.
Strong performances across the student body saw pupils reaching their potential and going on to pursue a broad range of higher education studies.
Anastasia Manioti achieved two A*s and two As. She is one of two female students who have successfully secured engineering degree apprenticeships. Anastasia signed up to the vision for Trinity when it was just a powerpoint.
She said: “I am beyond delighted and it is the ultimate reward for all the hard work I have put into my studies. Trinity provided such a brilliant environment and supportive community to learn in, I’ll always look back on my school days with immense gratitude. I want to say a massive thank you to all my teachers whose guidance and passion for their subjects made a huge difference.”
Filsan Muhumed also joined Trinity before it had been built. She achieved an A* and two As and has successfully secured a place to study medicine at her first-choice university, Bristol. She said, “I’m really thankful for all the support I’ve received from my teachers at Trinity and from my family.”
Ester-Rose Hoatson joined Trinity’s Sixth Form in 2024 as it opened. She obtained three As, securing a place to study Biology at University of Bristol.
The school is celebrating many other successes with pupils off to study a range of degrees from Engineering to History to Law and Criminology to Arabic and Politics to Chiropractic.
Headteacher, Eiron Bailey said, “I am really pleased with our first set of A-level results. They are testament to the hard work of our wonderful students and staff. It is challenging for new schools to achieve strong results in their first year and Trinity has risen to the challenge. This cohort signed up to a vision and it has been a privilege to support their academic progress and achievement.”
