THE team at Indian Kitchen, on Westbury-on-Trym’s High Street, is making space on the restaurant’s wall for another award certificate.
At the Oceanic Nation’s Curry Awards 2026, Suresh Sharma, head chef and owner of the family-run restaurant, was delighted to receive an award of ‘Recognised for Excellence’ in the Curry Kitchen of the Year, having triumphed in this same category in 2025.
Unable to attend the previous year’s ceremony, Mr Sharma and his family were pleased to be able to attend the awards in person this time. He said of the occasion: “My wife and I attended the ceremony for the first time. We had a warm welcome; we spoke with the host and other restaurants too. It was great to meet new people.”
Proudly displaying his award, he added: “I want to say thank you again to all our locals, friends and staff who support us. Achieving this is special and an honour. We hope and look forward to more people coming to try our food and will always work hard to give the best experience to our customers.”
