LEADERS of Lake House Day Nursery and Preschool in Westbury on Trym say they are “incredibly proud” to have achieved a highly positive Ofsted report.
The nursery’s provision for children aged from three months to five years was rated as a Strong Standard in two areas and an Expected Standard in four areas in the inspection in
November, which was conducted under the government’s new Ofsted framework.
The report praised many key aspects of the nursery across the six core areas.
Positive comments included:
• Children enjoy being in this welcoming and inclusive nursery
• Leaders provide an ambitious curriculum that has a positive impact for children.
• Leaders and staff have high expectations for children’s behaviour and conduct
The inspectors praised the emphasis on staff development and well-being and highlighted the supportive comments from parents.
Leanne Bailey, manager of the nursery, which is part of the Grandir group, said: “There have been many changes over the past two years, and without the Lake House team’s positivity and commitment, these achievements wouldn’t have been possible.
“I am incredibly proud of all we’ve accomplished together, which is reflected in our Ofsted report, with overwhelming support from our parents, regional manager and early years specialist.
“Building a cohesive team takes time, and guiding staff to make the right choices for children is a privilege. Without this dedicated team, the children wouldn’t receive the care, love, and passion for learning and development they deserve.”
