Flats plan gets go-ahead

PLANS to convert the historic buildings at The Coach House, 23-25 Coldharbour Road,  from office use to eight flats have been approved.

The stone buildings, located opposite the Cambridge Arms pub, are empty. They sit around a courtyard and date partly from the mid 1800s – some of the buildings were almost certainly part of the old Bennett’s Farm.

The first application to determine whether planning permission was required for the change of use was refused by Bristol City Council in August  but following amendments to the proposed arrangements for car parking and cycle storage, planning officers said the scheme could go ahead.
