Lindsey Bowles and Vicky Cox have raised £2,615 for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity by organising a pub quiz and raffle evening held at the Beehive Pub, Henleaze.
Lindsey and Vicky gathered family, friends and members of the local community to see how much money they could raise for the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre which had supported Lindsey after her recent cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Lindsey and Vicky said: “We’d like to extend our thanks to the local businesses of Henleaze and Westbury on Trym, who when approached for donations, gave so generously and showed such community spirit.
“The event was such a success because of the support of the Beehive Pub and those who attended. An enjoyable evening was had by all!”
Jo Howarth from Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity said: “A big thanks goes to Lindsey, Vicky and all at the Beehive Pub for a fantastic evening of entertainment. You’ve helped bring more moments of joy, comfort and hope to patients at your hospitals.”
