Festive V-dubs visit

The owners  of more than two dozen Volkswagen cars and vans are to decorate their vehicles with Christmas trimmings  and park them in Clifton Village later this month to raise money for charity.

Two or three vehicles will be parked for several hours at thirteen different sites in the village on November 28. The sites include Princess Victoria Street,  Waterloo Street, The Mall, Regents Street, and Sion Hill.

Steve Wright,  who has been running a VW enthusiasts group for more than ten years, is organising the event. He said: “We will be raising  money for the Grand Appeal which is an amazing Bristol Children’s Hospital charity.  At the same time we want to spread a load of festive cheer to the community” .

The Volkswagens will arrive at  6.30pm and stay a few hours.
