STUDENTS across Bristol are celebrating their A-level, T-level and BTEC results with provisional figures showing 94 per cent achieved at least three A-levels at grades A* to E across the city’s state schools and colleges.
Early figures submitted to Bristol City Council also show that 12.7 per cent of students achieved three A-level grades of A* to A. The council is continuing to receive data from schools and colleges, including results for BTEC and T-level qualifications.
Councillor Christine Townsend, chair of the children and young people committee, said: “Congratulations to everyone receiving their results. You have worked hard to reach this point and should feel proud of your achievements.
“Whether you studied A-levels, BTECs, T Levels or a mix of qualifications, today is an important step towards university, an apprenticeship, further training or employment.
“I also want to thank the teachers, support staff, parents, carers and families who have been there for Bristol’s young people throughout their studies.
“For anyone feeling disappointed or uncertain about their results, support and advice are available. There are many routes to success, and you don’t have to work it out on your own.”
Julia Gray, chief cxecutive officer at City of Bristol College, said: “Level 3 results day is a major milestone for students who have spent the last two or three years working towards their academic, vocational and technical goals.
“Alongside their studies, our students have gained workplace experience, exhibited their work publicly, visited inspirational locations abroad and developed the skills to support their next steps in education and employment.
“Their grades are just one part of their overall achievements, and I wish them the very best as they continue to pursue their goals, contribute to society and support the regional economy. “

Students can also phone the National Careers Service helpline on 0800 100 900. The helpline is open 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays.
Results remain provisional while schools and colleges complete their returns to the council. Final validated results will be confirmed later in the autumn.
