In recent months, the Voice has been highlighting the threat to the village centre as businesses in Westbury struggle to cope with higher rents, increased wage bills, parking fees and other pressures.
Someone seems to have vented their frustration by painting a message on the wall of one of the now-closed banks.
Others, including Sustainable Westbury on Trym (SusWoT) and Westbury on Trym Society (WoTSoc) are channelling concern by offering positive support. WoTSoc is strengthening its links with the business community.
